We use the Bauman Rare Books standard when grading our books. When you see our descriptions of books the following is a guideline: As new or mint: Used only for books in virtually the same condition as the day they were published. A book that shows no wear. Fine: Approaches the condition of the above; may show only the most minor wear. Near-fine: Nearly fine, but may show a few small signs of wear. Very good: A collectible and desirable book that shows some wear. Good: Used and worn; a book that is complete but worn. In most cases collectible only as a reading copy. It is very rare that we offer a book in this condition.
